The Future

After five months of an unemployment hiatus and well, a lot of other stalwarts in my life, I am finally moving on to a new chapter by returning to San Francisco. I left three years ago because I was absolutely convinced it was not the place for me only to find, in my vast travels of late, it was where I needed to be.

Muir Woods, Big Sur, beaches, Santa Barbara, vast and intricate neighborhoods in SF – I miss all of them. Living in New York City for the last few months, I miss the ability to bounce to a natural environment where I can’t see the skyscrapers anymore. It’s actually stifling knowing it takes a fucking miracle to leave the city long enough to breathe in fresh air.

I left a life there that I didn’t appreciate nearly enough, and now I’m returning to pay up in the way I should have. Mama, I’m coming home.
